Art/Music

  • Jazz Archive - Hamilton College Jazz Archive holds a collection of videotaped interviews, currently numbering 300+ entries, with jazz musicians, arrangers, writers and critics.
  • MusREF - a guide to more than 7,400 print and internet resources including an extensive list of traditional reference tools, including some 7,400 entries (1,800-plus annotated) for bibliographies, discographies, specialized dictionaries, catalogs, and other indexes.
  • Wisconsin Art & Artist Archive - preeminent single source for information on Wisconsin art and artists and is supported by the Museum of Wisconsin Art Wisconsin Art Archive and Research Library containing over 8500 artist and art related topics.

  • Internet Broadway Database - archive is the official database for Broadway theatre information. IBDB provides records of productions from the beginnings of New York theatre until today.

  • World Resources Report - The World Resources Report (WRR) provides policymakers around the world - government, civil society, and business - with analysis and insight about major environmental and development issues.   • Human Body Maps - a free, interactive anatomy program that provides access to high-quality medical images.
  • National Geologic Map Database - A cooperative project of the Association of American State Geologists and the US Geological Survey (USGS), it indexes maps and geospatial data on geology, geophysics, marine geology, geologic resources, and hazards for the US and its territories published from the 1880s to the present.
  • Physics Flash Animations - A CHOICE recommended resource, this site provides more than 80 Flash animations from different areas of physics. Topics covered are typical of a one-year course in physics in high school or college. Some of the categories are classical mechanics, optics, electricity and magnetism, quantum mechanics, and sound.
  • VisionLearning - is a new educational resource for faculty and students. Funded by the National Science Foundation, Visionlearning provides high-quality science learning modules that have been shown to be more effective than traditional textbooks in teaching science.
  • Wisconsin Geological Survey - information about the geology, mineral resources, water resources, soil, and biology of Wisconsin.
  • WebElements - the periodic table on the web.
