A Letter from SGA

Dear Fellow Students,

Taking responsibility in college goes far beyond attending class and doing homework. We, the students, are responsible for creating (and funding) things that contribute to campus life. All the clubs on campus exist only because students are involved. Most clubs, including Film Club, Computer Club, and Omega Lambda Delta as examples as well as the theatre department, the athletic program, and even Ubiquitous have an annual budget that is funded by SEG fees, paid as part of your tuition.

Each year we spend over $150,000 in many different areas around campus. How we spend that money is up to SGA. We make the best decisions we can, based on your input. If you want to see more of your money going toward a particular program, or if you have ideas about other things you'd like to see on campus, get in touch with us. Catch a senator in the hall, or visit us in our weekly meetings or in the Student Government office. If you have bigger ideas, join us on SGA. We're still looking to fill a few vacant seats by appointment. Taking an active role in campus life looks great on a scholarship application or in a job interview.

So in short, if you don't like something at UW-WC, take responsibility and change it!

Best wishes for the rest of your semester,

Jon Kline
SGA
Vice President
