Theatre

The theatre department presents one production each semester. UW-WC students as well as community members are welcome to audition - see dates below. (Above is the cast from Lafferty's Wake -spring 2007 play).

A variety of works, including dramas, comedies, farces, and musicals, have been produced. Students can audition for acting roles or work in technical areas of production (costumes, set construction, sound, lighting, makeup, stage management, etc).

Work can be done voluntarily or for credit by signing up for Communications 131 (Theatre Laboratory). You can register for one or more sections that include: acting, technical production and theatre management.

If you’re interested in theatre as a major, an extracurricular experience or just for the fun of it, you are invited to get involved!

Audition dates for 2008:

The Great American Trailer Park Musical March:
Auditions on Wed., Jan. 31 - 7pm
(Performance dates: 3/7, 3/8, 3/9)

Auditions are held in the campus theatre (second floor near cafeteria). Scripts are available for use in the campus library (available a few weeks prior to audition date).
