Student Life
Theatre
The theatre department presents one production each semester. UW-WC students as well as community members are welcome to audition - see dates below. (Above is the cast from Lafferty's Wake -spring 2007 play).
A variety of works, including dramas, comedies, farces, and musicals, have been produced. Students can audition for acting roles or work in technical areas of production (costumes, set construction, sound, lighting, makeup, stage management, etc).
Work can be done voluntarily or for credit by signing up for Communications 131 (Theatre Laboratory). You can register for one or more sections that include: acting, technical production and theatre management.
If you’re interested in theatre as a major, an extracurricular experience or just for the fun of it, you are invited to get involved!
