College Preview Answers Questions

High School Seniors & Parents Invited to UW-Washington County

UW-Washington County is hosting two College Preview sessions for area high school seniors and their parents. The two-hour sessions are designed to answer questions about college – including the admission process, financial aid and scholarships. The first session will be held in the morning from 10am until noon on Wednesday, November 1.  A second evening session is planned for Thursday, December 7 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm.  Admission is free, but reservations are needed and can be made by phoning Student Services at 262-335-5201 at least two days prior to the event.

The College Preview sessions are intended for students who are considering attending UW-Washington County as well as other Wisconsin universities. The two-hour sessions include presentations from Dean David Nixon, Student Services and Library directors, and faculty members.  Information about athletics, student government, and student organizations is also presented.  A panel of current students will share their personal campus experience and discuss personal strategies for success. Following a question/answer session, a campus tour is available, which includes the Collins Science building and expanded Fine Arts area.

Two additional College Preview evening sessions are planned for spring. The dates are March 15 and April 26, 2007.
