High School
Seniors & Parents Invited to UW-Washington County
UW-Washington County
is hosting two College Preview sessions for area high school seniors
and their parents. The two-hour sessions are designed to answer
questions about college – including the admission process, financial
aid and scholarships. The first session will be held in the morning
from 10am until noon on Wednesday, November 1. A second evening
session is planned for Thursday, December 7 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm.
Admission is free, but reservations are needed and can be made by
phoning Student Services at 262-335-5201 at least two days prior to
the event.
The College Preview
sessions are intended for students who are considering attending
UW-Washington County as well as other Wisconsin universities. The
two-hour sessions include presentations from Dean David Nixon,
Student Services and Library directors, and faculty members.
Information about athletics, student government, and student
organizations is also presented. A panel of current students will
share their personal campus experience and discuss personal
strategies for success. Following a question/answer session, a
campus tour is available, which includes the Collins Science
building and expanded Fine Arts area.
Two additional
College Preview evening sessions are planned for spring. The dates
are March 15 and April 26, 2007.
The University of
Wisconsin-Washington County is located at 400 University Drive (off
Hwy. 33 West) in West Bend. It is the fourth largest of the 13 UW –
Colleges, offering the first two years of study in over 200 majors
and your best start on a bachelor’s degree, which can lead to
unlimited career opportunities. In addition, five collaborative
bachelor degree programs are available through UW-Milwaukee and
