Computer Science Lecturer Position
Part-time position, Spring 2013
The UW--Washington County campus in West Bend is looking for an instructor to teach the following courses during Spring Semester, 2013.
CPS 106 WORD PROCESSING AND PRESENTATION CONCEPTS (MS WORD)
Text entry, editing, manipulation and presentation. Covers typical as well as many advanced features of word processing and presentation software. Involves extensive hands-on experience. Students may not receive credit for both CPS 106 and CPS 105. AP Meets first 5 weeks of the semester.
CPS 107 SPREADSHEET CONCEPTS (MS EXCEL)
Typical features and application of electronic spreadsheets. Course involves extensive hands-on experience. Students may not receive credit for both CPS 107 and CPS 105. AP Meets 2nd 5 weeks of semester.
CPS 108 DATABASE CONCEPTS (MS ACCESS)
Creation of data files and data manipulations (editing, sorting, deleting, etc.). Report definition and generation. Accessing and searching of remote data bases. Includes extensive hands-on experience. Students may not receive credit for both CPS 108 and CPS 105. AP Meets 3rd 5 weeks of semester.
These successive 5-week, 1- credit classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 AM – 9:15 AM
Qualifications: Applicant must have at least a Master's degree and significant education or experience with the material being taught. Some teaching experience at university level is preferred.
Salary: depends on highest degree and amount of experience.
