In this course you will learn: How to manage investment risks, use new tax laws to your advantage, make informed decisions about your company retirement plan, and adjust your estate plan to function properly under the new laws. However, money is only one aspect of retirement planning. This course blends financial education with life planning to help you build wealth, align your money with your values, and achieve your retirement lifestyle goals.

Phlebotomy Technician Exam Preparation Program
This 90 hour exam preparation course prepares professionals to collect blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students will become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely. Classroom and lab work includes terminology, anatomy and physiology- blood collection procedures, specimen hands-on practice, and training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods.

Pharmacy Technician Exam Preparation Program

According to the U.S. Department of Labor projections, employment of pharmacy technicians is to increase by
31 percent from 2008-2018, which is growing significantly faster than the average for all occupations. Now
more than ever, is the time to begin your career as a Pharmacy Technician!
This comprehensive 50 hour exam preparation course will prepare students to explore the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health care settings – working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement. What do most employers look for in an employee? It’s the ability to communicate effectively with others. Instructor-led online courses begin on the second Monday of their respective months and run for six weeks, offering a minimum of six lessons per course. Interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials, and online discussion areas supplement the lessons. All materials are available to you over the World Wide Web. Read your lessons and ask questions of your instructor at times that are most convenient to you! All you need to get started is Internet access, an e-mail address, and Netscape or Internet Explorer Web browser. Note: Campus computer labs are not available for these courses. Enroll in one, two, or three six-week courses of your choice … OR complete all five core courses and at least one elective to earn the Business Communication Certificate. Requirements can be completed within one year. You can begin the certificate at any time. SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives), founded in 1964, is a non-profit organization dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth, and success of small businesses nationwide. The University of Wisconsin-Washington County (UW-WC) in Cooperation with the West Bend Economic Development Corporation hosts advising sessions at the UW-WC campus.
SCORE volunteers are both retired and "working" business people. They bring a wealth of knowledge right to your fingertips about starting, managing and maintaining a successful small business. Advising sessions can be set up by calling 262-335-5259
