ACT Exam Preparation Courses:
Now available at 3 locations.

This 3 session course is designed to assist the student in preparing for the ACT assessment exams and is just in time for the spring testing date.  Areas to be covered include test-taking strategies, English, Reading, Optional Writing section, Math, Science as well as the opportunity to take a practice exam and receive the results in time to brush up before the spring exam date. All areas covered will include both content and test taking strategies. Students will receive a 532-page study guide. Saturday lunch will be provided. Please note: the practice exam is only optional at Hartford.

Washington County Youth Orchestra

The purpose of this program is to create a fun and exciting learning environment for middle and high school students that compliment their present involvement in the arts. This classical orchestra will include section coaches along with the director to provide a more in depth experience for the participants. The semester long program will culminate in a concert at UW-Washington County.

The orchestra will be under the direction of Dr. Daniel Ackley, a member of the music department at UW-WC where he has taught since 1994.  Auditions are required and can be arranged by contacting Kim Schwamn at 262-335-5259.

Concerts:      May 3rd and commencement ceremony at UW-Washington County

 

 Youth Theatre 'Hey kids, let's put on a show!"

We are proud to present a semester long course on theatre that examines all aspects of bringing a play to the stage. From play selection to set design to costuming to promotions to acting; the participants will examine each facet of a play's production and put those disciplines into practice and stage their own production! All youth are needed for the show: directors, producers, set makers, costumers, techies, actors, marketers. So bring your talents and "Let's put on a show!'

For students ages 10-17
