Partial Payment Plan

The partial payment plan is a contract with the University. It is a legal document and therefore, you must be 18 years old at the time of signing.  If you are not 18, both you and a parent (or legal guardian)  must sign the document. If a student is 18 or older, the student must sign the contract, the parent may not sign for the student. Sign up at the Business Office in person by the end of the second week of the semester.  Bring a driver’s license or birth certificate or other legal proof of birth date.

  1. ELIGIBILITY
You are eligible for the Partial Payment Plan if:
    • You do not owe charges from a previous semester such as tuition, parking fines, library fines, etc.
    • You were not late with any of your payments from a previous semester
    • You paid the payments in full in the previous semester
    • You are carrying  three or more credits
    • You are at least 18 years old or have a parent or guardian to co-sign your contract
  2. DOWN PAYMENT/BALANCE DUE
Down payment = $200 (includes a non-refundable $10.00 enrollment charge) + late payment charges (if after second week of session and the application is not timely made). The remaining balance is due:
    • 50% due by end of the 5th week
    • 50% due by end of the 8th week

Late installment fee of $25.00 is assessed if either of the remaining payments is late. Interest at 1.25% per month is charged on the outstanding balance if the last payment is not paid timely; this is in addition to the $25 charge
  3. PARTIAL PAYMENT PLAN
The partial payment plan is a loan contract with the University. It is a legal document and therefore, you must be 18 years old at the time of the signing. Proof of birth date is required; a driver’s license, birth certificate or other legal document showing birth date is needed.

If a student is not 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian must co-sign the document. If a student is 18 or older, the student must sign the contract, the parent may not sign for the student.
  4. ADDED CREDITS
The additional tuition will be divided between the remaining payments.
  5. DROPPED CREDITS
A reduction in tuition may be reduced evenly between the two remaining installment payments. No new contract is needed.
  6. LATE INSTALLMENT FEE
Tuition is due the dates indicated above. There is no grace period. The late installment fee is $25.00 for EACH payment that is late. Interest is charged at 1.25% per month on the outstanding balance after the last installment payment is due.
  7. DENIAL
Any student who did not pay timely in the previous semester will not be allowed to use the plan for the current semester. This denial is in effect if the default was for one payment or more, and regardless of the amount of the default.
  8. LATE SIGN-UP:
If a student signs up for the plan after the second week of classes, in addition to the down payment, an administrative charge for late payment is charged and collected at the time the promissory note is completed.

Forms are available from the Business Office.

(Note: Terms of agreement are subject to change).
