UW-Washington County's psychology and social science
curriculum provides you with the core skills and knowledge that
will help you to successfully complete a bachelor's degree program
and succeed in a variety of related professions. This curriculum
includes courses leading to a clear understanding of the foundation
of contemporary psychology. This includes factors that influence
human and animal behavior, the value of scientific study of behavior
and preparation for a professional career.

Field Experiences and Internships
Psychology course work at UW-Washington County can
offer you field experiences for academic credit. Field experience,
under development in "Introductory Psychology," "Psychology
of Childhood and Adolescence," "Abnormal Psychology,"
and "The Psychology of Personality" provides you with
opportunities for observations and participation not ordinarily
available in the classroom. Your field work is supervised by faculty
members and professionals who evaluate the importance and significance

Scholarship Opportunities
Faculty, administration and staff at UW-Washington
County believe that outstanding students deserve recognition and
should be given support and the opportunity to develop their interests,
skills and talents. To this end, UWWC, through generous benefactor
donations, is able to annually award over $125,000 in scholarships
to qualified new, continuing and transferring students on the basis
of academic excellence, leadership, community service, and financial
