NEW SEVEN WEEK ACCELERATED EVENING CLASSES!
Beginning fall 2007
, we will be offering new 7-week evening classes - at both the freshman and junior level (through UW-Oshkosh).
These hybrid courses combine in classroom teaching with online learning.

FALL SESSION 1:  September 5 to October 17
LEA 102 Learning Skills: 
Mon-Wed 7:00pm - 8:20pm, non-degree credit
Need to refresh and further develop generalized learning skills? This non-degree credit class will give you a stronger  foundation as you work on your college degree! Includes note taking, time management, reading comprehension, organizing a research paper and making oral presentations. It also includes computer skills and how to navigate in D2L.

SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology:
Mon-Wed 5:00pm - 6:20pm, 3 credits
Introduction to the basic concepts, theories and methods of sociology, emphasizing the significance of the self and culture, social process and organization, and forces of social stability and change. SS

FALL SESSION 2:  October 29 to December 14
PHI 101 Introduction to Philosophy:
Mon-Wed 5:00pm - 6:20pm, 3 credits
An introduction to philosophy as the activity of clarifying ideas, developing positions, and evaluating arguments on problems such as: what is, what ought to be, freedom, God, and knowledge. Some reference to positions of leading figures and schools of thought in the history of philosophy is usually involved. HU


PSY 202 Introduction to Psychology:
Mon-Wed 7:00pm - 8:20pm, 3 credits
Survey of major content areas in Psychology. Topics include research methodology, learning, memory, cognition, biological psychology, sensation, perception, motivation, emotion, development, personality, psychopathology,
and social psychology. Students who have taken PSY 201 may not
 take this course for credit. SS

UW-OSHKOSH
BACHELOR OF LIBERAL STUDIES DEGREE
The BLS degree with an Emphasis in Leadership Development is an ideal choice for busy working adults who need to complete a bachelor’s degree to advance their career potential. Classes are taught by UW-Oshkosh faculty and meet one night a week at UW-Washington County from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The accelerated 7-week format combines classroom teaching with online learning activities. This program allows you to remain at UW-WC for all four years. The BLS degree emphasizes learning across the arts, humanities and social sciences. It encourages the development of verbal and written communication and expands decision-making and problem solving abilities.  A Certificate in Civic and Community Leadership is also available through the UW-Oshkosh program. It recognizes the completion of 24 credits (which can also apply to the bachelor degree). It is an excellent choice for careers in administration, management, politics and civic related leadership positions.
