UW-Washington County's business curriculum provides
you with basic professional skills and knowledge which will help
you to successfully enroll in a bachelor's degree program, to succeed
in a business administration profession, and to compete successfully
in the evolving global environment.
The course of study provides you with business technology,
concepts, principles, and skills leading to a clear understanding
of the foundation of contemporary business. Business course work,
when combined with UW-Washington County's strong liberal arts curriculum,
will provide you with the strong foundation of a dynamic business
career.
UW- Business Majors Available:
The University of Wisconsin System currently lists
29 distinct majors with a 30th titled "Individually Planned
Major." You can begin studies for any of the following business
majors at UW-Washington County. (You can also complete the Organizational
Administration degree in its entirety at UWWC.)

Field Experiences and Internships
The Business Department at UWWC may be able to
offer work experiences and internships for academic credit. Field
and internship experiences can provide you with opportunities for
observations and participation not ordinarily available in the classroom.
Your field or internship work is supervised by faculty members and
professionals who evaluate the importance and significance of your

Scholarship Opportunities
Faculty, administration and staff at UW-Washington
County believe that outstanding students deserve recognition and
should be given support and the opportunity to develop their interests,
skills and talents. To this end, UWWC, through generous benefactor
donations, is able to annually award over $125,000 in scholarships
to qualified new, continuing and transferring students on the basis
of academic excellence, leadership, community service, and financial

UWWC Business Club
UWWC’S Business Club is a great opportunity
for students whoplan to major in accounting, business and economics
to get together. As one of the enterprising clubs on campus, members
raise funds for two $300 scholarships given annually to continuing
and transfer students intending to major in business. To enhance
members understanding of careers in this field, the Business Club
sponsors speakers, including personnel managers, banking executives,
and stock brokers. Club members also tour local and area businesses
as well as Chicago to visit the stock exchange, the Mercantile Bank
and the Federal Reserve.
