About
I began my educational career at UW-Oshkosh when I graduated high school.  I didn’t do very well and dropped out of college, got married, had 2 daughters and then decided I was ready to return to school.  Luckily for me UW-Washington County was here.  I came here and earned my Associates degree.  I then went back to UW-Oshkosh and finished my Bachelors degree with a major in Sociology.  With all of the encouragement I received at UW-WC and UW-O, I went to Marquette and earned my M.S. in Sociology.  Finally, I pursued and earned my PhD in Sociology at Purdue University in 1997.  I have worked at UW-Milwaukee,  Carroll University, and UW-Waukesha before coming here in 1999.

When I am not teaching, I spend most of my time with my family:  my husband, two daughters and their husbands, five grandchildren, two dogs, and a cat.  We enjoy hiking, gardening, traveling to natural areas, bird-watching, and kayaking.
