About

I hold a BS degree in English education and an MA degree in British and American literature. I have also completed thirty credits at the doctoral level in literature and rhetoric. My degrees are from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

My teaching experience is long and diverse. I began my career in 1974 as a high school English teacher. Since then I've gone on to teach composition, creative writing, literature, speech, and business communication at various institutions, including UWM, Milwaukee Area Technical College, Cardinal Stritch College of Business and Management, and, of course, the UW Colleges. My home base is UW-Washington County, where I've been on staff since 1995 and where I serve as advisor to the student newspaper Ubiquitous. In addition, I have presented business communication workshops and seminars at several companies in southeastern Wisconsin.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, listening to jazz and OTR, and spending time with friends and family. When I have a chance to get away, I enjoy camping and bird watching.
